This is factually wrong. Let's not forget that the sole reason Mamatas made the connection between Sriduangkaew and Requires Hate publically was because there was already a whispering campaign against her, allegedly with several well established authors contacting her editors.
Before that, she'd already made powerful enemies (Butcher, Bakker, Watts, other well established white male authors) and was despised by a large part of the sff community.
She has no real power, she isn't being sheltered and nobody credible has come forward to provide actual evidence of anything more horrible than being abusive on the internet. (Something that in the very same thread that you got that dog rape comment from, also happened to Nick Mamatas, who somebody wanted to be drowned in a toilet.)
And really, if you do think this is anywhere comparable to actual sexual abuse, where people did come forward and put their own names and reputations on the line, you're minimising the latter to make the former seem worse than it was.
