Thanks, I'll link to that. I've got no right to an opinion about WOC solidarity in this case or any other, but it is kind of interesting that Jaymee never called for solidarity with the women of color Winterfox threatened with rape.
I do get an opinion about victims and silence. Keeping quiet about abuse, letting the abuser walk away from it and leaving it unresolved, that hurts victims. That serves the abuser, who gets away consequence free and with no lingering thread of conscience. A lot of the people speaking up about their encounters with Winterfox or RequiresHate or other personas have talked about how they're still frightened she'll come after them again -- they don't get to walk away quietly.
Victims who don't want to come forward have the right to silence. Sometimes that's what you need to do to take care of yourself. Abusers don't get that right.
